The Day Before He Left

Tim gets back tomorrow – woohoo!!! Let’s just say that every part of me is super happy to have his ‘person’ back with us.

Girl me just can’t wait to get my hugs and shoulder to just rest on. To look at him in the flesh and be hugged back by the man that I love. As Aislyn would say, “It’s gonna be gross!”. But I don’t care!

Mom me needs my team mate back! I don’t know how you single parents do this. Wow!! I know I would probably just adjust if had to be one – but shoo! I am tired of carrying the weight of raising our kids on my own. They need their Dad! Like NOW. (Not in a bad way, just in a “there’s only so much mom can squeeze out to satisfy everyone” kind of way).

Wife me needs to hand back the reigns of running the “boy” part of our home. Even though I love doing maintenance stuff just like the average DIYer – the “taking care of business” things are what I will gladly hand back.

I know that this isn’t exactly all of me, but I think you can understand that I will have a enormous sense of relief come over me.

Anyway, now that I’ve completely bummed you out, let me tell you about what I really enjoy about Tim going away.

It’s the day before he goes. We spend the day as a family, doing something simple but special. So I thought I’d share a snippet of our car ride together just before Tim left this time.

Let me know what you think. It would be awesome if you subscribe to our channel if you like it, then you’ll get to see the videos that I don’t put up on the blog.

I'm a woman finding my way through life as the wife of Tim, the mom to 3 growing kids and trying to maintain some sort of self through it all. I hope you enjoy reading how I journey with my troops through this thing we call life.
