I had a dream… I still do

Before I begin this post, I should actually send a little shout out to my friend Luchae from “My Spreadsheet Brain”. The last 3 posts have been completely motivated by her and her love for the written word. She challenged some of us mommies to a few blog posts over the last and coming few weeks – and needless to say – it’s really motivated me and got my writing butt back into gear. If you haven’t seen her work then do yourself a favour – she is easy to read and what she talks about, we’re all thinking about.  (she doesn’t know it, but I’ve been reading her site for about 6 years now)

Anyway, todays post is about a dream I have had. To spare you the melodrama that happens in my sub conscience – I’m not going to tell you about any of my actual dreams (besides the fact that I actually can’t remember any of them fully anyhooooo)

But for you to get to know me better – I can share this with you. I have always had a dream to have a room, at my home that is just mine. Where I am continuously stocked up on paint, canvas’s and creative gear – but on a large scale. I’m not talking 20cm x 20cm baby things – I’m talking about wall to wall pieces where I could either cover myself in paint and run at the thing or throw paint at it whenever I wanted.  To sell? Nah – if people like it then great but I really would just love to be able to do just that.

I’ve wanted this since I was a child. I know that it’s the kind of dream that will require capital to be able to buy the paint and do this kind of thing – but should the opportunity arise and the windows of heaven suddenly open up for the finance to be there for the paint and such – then, I would have really stepped into a sweet spot of my inner most childish desires.

If you have a blog, or if you have the patience to write it down – share your whimsical dream with me in the comments. There is nothing too silly, or too wild. One day we might be able to look back at this post and smile in the middle of our jelly bean swimming pool of candy shaped dreams.

  1. I love your dream! I can see you happy and content in that creative corner!
My whimsical childhood dream was to build a school that had the best playground in the world…a world of wonder, and treasure hunts!
