How to Destress Like a Kid….

I woke up this morning and after hearing what the President addressed us on last night, I really felt that as a grown up I need to find ways to destress without having to leave my home. I then had this epiphony – I’m not too much of a drinker but I do know that lots of people consume an alcoholic drink or two to relieve their stress and “take the edge off” to be able to cope with the coming day or week and so on.

Magical Chaos – spinning through the Chrysalis of Adolescence with our Daughters’

This is it! I’m finally getting what’s been in my heart out onto a page for all of you to read and journey with me…… or should I say us?…… through.

I remember when I was a new parent, even a newlywed, having all of these incredible women around me that I could look up to and ask questions and tap into for the knowledge I needed for those very precious new moments in my life. Those women have always been there, even to this day and I value their experience and their advice, input and example. They have helped shape my thinking as a wife, mom and woman.

I don’t want to “adult” today!

Growing up is something I longed to do from the age of about 3 or 4 until I was about 18/19 – maybe stretch it to about 22. But there comes a time when being a grown up isn’t as much fun as I thought it would be. I remember playing house, arranging fake furniture in my “play play” house that I had made with one layer of bricks, that even had a passage with bedrooms and stuff. Guys, I was hard core – there were even doors (that were just openings) and you couldn’t just walk over the bricks, I had to go through the doors of my architectural drawing type house.
